OPERATION

The Cyclofilter can operate under negative or positive pressure. The dust laden air enters the dust collector through a tangential air intake and, by cyclonic effect, the heavy particles are centrifuged to the bottom of the conical section where they are continuously collected by an air or mechanical system. The finer dust particles are blown upwards and are collected by the filter bags in the upper section. The filtered air is returned to the plant or the atmosphere. The dust laden filter bags are continuously cleaned by a compressed-air system controlled by a sequential programmer.

The unique design of the Cyclofilter reduces filter bag maintenance as the pre-separation cyclonic section reduces to a minimum the dust loading rate of the bags during the operation of the dust collector. The filter bag self-cleaning system thus ensures consistent performance and efficiency for the Cyclofilter.
